"Unexpected Situation"

You wake up in bed, your head pounding from the remnants of last night’s escapades. Groaning, you press a hand to your forehead, trying to rub away the pain. Just as you’re about to curse the world, a cup appears in front of your face, blocking your view.

Blinking in confusion, you look up and find Sia standing there, holding the cup with a smug grin. “Morning, sunshine. Hangover soup, courtesy of our dear Taehyung,” she announces, her voice far too cheerful for someone who was also tipsy the night before. “He brought it for us since we were all pretty wasted.”

You raise an eyebrow, eyeing the cup suspiciously. “You want me to taste it first so you can drink it after?” you ask, disbelief evident in your tone.

Sia nods, unfazed. “My head’s killing me, and I need to make sure it’s safe.”

Before you can retort, an annoyed voice pipes up from across the room. “I didn’t add poison to it, you know. I was just joking with her,” Taehyung grumbles, his expression a mix of irritation. You turn your head and see both Taehyung and Jungkook lounging on the couch. Jungkook waves a little “hi” to you, flashing a warm smile as he wishes you good morning.

The memory of last night’s kiss floods back, and your cheeks flush with embarrassment. You quickly look away, focusing on the cup in Sia’s hand instead. Sia, oblivious to your sudden bashfulness, shoves the cup closer to your face. “Come on, Yn, drink up. I need this hangover cure more than you do.”

With a sigh, you take the cup and sip the soup. It’s surprisingly tasty, and you raise an eyebrow at Sia. “No poison,” you confirm, trying to suppress a smile.

“I told you,” Taehyung mutters from behind, rolling his eyes.

Sia just shrugs, still looking unconvinced. “I don’t trust you,” she says nonchalantly, plopping down beside you and clearly gearing up to plan today’s adventures; but before she can say anything, both Taehyung and Jungkook speak at the same time.

“She’s beautiful,” Jungkook says softly, while Taehyung scoffs, “She’s a witch.” loud enough for everyone to hear.

Jungkook gives Taehyung a look, clearly not pleased with the harsh description. But Sia, ever unbothered, crosses her arms over her chest and shoots Taehyung a pointed glare.

“It was an accident,” she defends herself, her voice dramatic. “I didn’t puke on you intentionally.”

Taehyung makes a face of pure disgust. He shifts his attention to you, sulking like a child as he recounts the horror.

“Yn, do you know what your best friend did to me?” he says, You blink at him, already suspecting what’s coming next. “What did she do?”

“She puked on my favorite Gucci shirt,” he whines, dramatically flopping down on the bed beside you; looking like he’s about to cry.

You gasp, eyes wide in shock. “You puked on his Gucci shirt?”

From behind, Jungkook adds with a smirk, “Don’t forget the face.”

Your jaw drops as you turn to Sia, who is now red with embarrassment, avoiding eye contact. “You puked on his face too?” you ask, incredulous.

Sia, for once, is speechless. She opens her mouth, then closes it again, her cheeks turning a deep shade of red. She shifts awkwardly, looking anywhere but at you or Taehyung.

Taehyung, however, isn’t letting it go. “She ruined my beautiful face! How am I supposed to show this puked-on face to the world?” he cries dramatically, pouting like a kid who just lost his favorite toy.

Jungkook bursts out laughing, clutching his stomach as he doubles over in amusement. “It’s a tragic loss,” he teases, causing Taehyung to glare at him.

Sia clears her throat, clearly embarrassed, and mutters, “I said it was an accident.”

Taehyung crosses his arms and huffs. “Well, my Gucci shirt didn’t survive that accident. Nor did my dignity.”

You can’t help but laugh, your hangover forgotten as the room fills with laughter. Even Sia, mortified as she is, cracks a small grin. Taehyung might have lost a shirt and his “beautiful face,” but the mood is light, and the laughter shared between all of you makes the morning feel a little brighter.

You tug at Jungkook's shirt gently, leaning closer to him and whispering, “What kind of place is this?” Your voice is low, laced with uncertainty as you glance around.

Jungkook gives you the same confused look before turning his gaze toward Sia and Taehyung, both of whom seem oddly excited by the new environment. “Honestly, I have no idea either,” he admits, his brows furrowing as he scans the crowd. “But it’s getting cold out here. Are you okay?” His voice is laced with concern as he notices the drop in temperature.

You give him a reassuring smile, trying to shake off the creeping chill in the air. “I’m fine,” you reply, though your discomfort is evident in your tight-lipped smile.

Suddenly, Sia bounces over to you, all energy and excitement. She thrusts a ticket into your hand and says with a cheeky grin, “Guess what? It’s a treasure hunt! An adventure site! Isn’t that fun?”

You look at the ticket, your face scrunching up into a grumpy smile. “Yay,” you mutter sarcastically, trying to match Sia’s energy but failing miserably.

Sia, of course, notices and shoots you a sharp glare. “Oh, come on, Yn! Don’t be such a buzzkill,” she scolds, but she’s grinning.

The four of you make your way to the main area where the host is getting ready to make an announcement. He announces that a game will determine the partners for the treasure hunt. Excitement buzzes around the crowd as people start drawing names from a bowl and announcing their partners.

One by one, participants step onto the stage, picking slips and calling out names. A girl named Ana grabs her slip, smiling brightly as she announces, “Jeon Jungkook!

You watch as Jungkook, with a polite smile, makes his way to Ana. They exchange greetings, introducing themselves with lighthearted conversation. You can’t help but feel a twinge of disappointment, your lips forming a small pout as you watch from afar. It’s just a game, after all. Right?

It’s finally your turn, and you hesitantly walk to the front to draw a name. The slip reads “Jake,” and you announce his name with a mix of curiosity and nervousness. Almost immediately, a tall man steps forward, greeting you politely like a perfect gentleman.

“Nice to meet you, Yn,” Jake says, his voice kind as he offers you a handshake.

You return his smile, though it's more out of politeness than enthusiasm. “Nice to meet you too,” you reply, trying to hide the fact that you’re still a bit disappointed.

Meanwhile, fate seems to have a sense of humor, as Sia and Taehyung end up as partners. The moment their names are called, both of them exchange a look of mild horror, clearly not thrilled with the pairing.

Taehyung groans dramatically, rubbing the back of his neck, while Sia crosses her arms and huffs. “Well, this is gonna be fun,” she says sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

“Can’t wait,” Taehyung mutters, glaring at the slip in his hand like it personally betrayed him.

Jake is explaining a few strategies, his voice calm and focused, but you can’t concentrate. Your eyes keep drifting toward Jungkook and Ana. The way they’re talking and laughing together sparks something you don’t want to acknowledge. Jealousy simmers in your chest, tightening your throat as you watch them interact.

Jake notices your distracted expression and pauses, hesitating before asking gently, “Do you know him? The guy with Ana?

Startled, you nod, embarrassed that you’d been caught staring. “Yeah, he's a friend of mine,” you admit, your voice quieter than usual.

Jake smiles, understanding flashing in his eyes. Without another word, he starts walking over toward Jungkook and Ana. Surprised, you follow behind him, unsure of what he’s planning.

Just as you approach, Ana suddenly throws her arms around Jake and plants a kiss on his lips. You blink in surprise, and Jungkook’s eyes widen as well. After pulling away, Ana looks at both you and Jungkook with a bright smile. “We’re newlyweds,” she announces proudly. “We’re here on our honeymoon!”

Jake chuckles, wrapping an arm around his wife’s shoulders. “Yeah, so I was wondering…” He turns to Jungkook, his tone casual yet hopeful. “Do you mind if we switch partners? I’d like to spend some time with Ana.”

Jungkook glances at you before giving a small nod, smiling politely. “Sure, that’s no problem,” he says.

With that, the exchange is made, and suddenly, you find yourself standing next to Jungkook, your heart pounding in your chest. The tension from before melts away, replaced by a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

You cling tightly to Jungkook as you both make your way through the dense bushes, the rustling leaves and shadows making everything feel more ominous. “We’re not lost, are we?” you ask, your voice wavering slightly.

Jungkook keeps walking, but his pace slows. Before he can respond, a loud wolf howl echoes through the forest, causing both of you to freeze. His grip on you tightens as he quickly pulls out the map, scanning it with growing concern.

“I think... we might be lost,” he admits, frowning. “This map isn’t making any sense.” He turns to you, panic flashing in his eyes. “Can you check your phone, Yn? We need to figure out how to get out of here.”

Your heart races as you pull out your phone, but dread quickly sets in. “It’s dead,” you whisper, your voice trembling.

Jungkook curses under his breath and pats his pockets, only to realize with frustration, “I left my phone in the room.”

Panic rises in your chest as you begin to tremble. “What are we going to do now?”

Jungkook notices the fear in your eyes, his own worry softening as he pulls you closer. He cups your face gently, offering a reassuring smile. “Hey, don’t worry. We’ll figure this out. I won’t let anything happen to you, okay?” His voice is soft, calming, and it eases the tension slightly. “We’re in this together.”

The sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky with soft hues of pink and orange as you sit down, too exhausted to take another step. Your legs feel heavy, and each breath is labored. “I can’t walk anymore, Jungkook,” you mutter, resting your head on your knees.

Jungkook crouches beside you, offering a water bottle. “Here, drink this,” he says gently, concern etched on his face. You take the bottle, gulping down the cool water before sighing heavily. Your body feels strange—heavy, drained, as if every muscle is giving up on you, though you can’t quite understand why.

After a few moments of resting, you both resume walking. The sky has turned dark, with only the faintest hint of light from the stars above. As you trudge forward, something catches your eye in the distance. A flicker of light, small but unmistakable. Your eyes widen with hope.

“Jungkook!” you exclaim, your voice filled with excitement. “I think we’ve reached somewhere!” Without waiting for him to respond, you start moving faster, your feet stumbling over the uneven ground in your rush.

But in the darkness, you don’t see the dip ahead. Before you know it, your foot slips, and you tumble forward, splashing into a small pond. The cold water shocks your system as you try to scramble back up, but the mud and water make it difficult to gain footing.

“Yn!” Jungkook shouts, rushing to your side. He crouches down, pulling you out of the water with ease. His hands are firm but gentle, guiding you out of the pond. “Are you okay?” he asks, his voice filled with worry, his eyes scanning your face for any signs of injury.

You nod, your body shivering slightly from the cold water. “I think I’m fine…” you murmur, trying to stand up. But as soon as you put weight on your right foot, a sharp pain shoots up your leg. You gasp and fall back down, clutching your ankle.

Jungkook’s eyes immediately drop to your swollen ankle, the skin around it turning red. “Your ankle… it’s swollen. You must have twisted it when you fell,” he says, his voice soft but urgent.

You wince, nodding as you try to hold back tears of frustration. “It hurts…”

Without hesitation, Jungkook scoops you up in his arms, holding you securely against his chest. “I’ve got you,” he whispers, starting to walk again, his strides steady despite the weight he’s carrying. You rest your head against his shoulder, your body relaxing slightly in his warm embrace.

After a short walk, you both finally reach your destination. The sight before you takes your breath away—a beautiful, secluded space lit by hundreds of glowing candles. Lanterns hang from nearby trees, casting a soft, golden light that flickers in the gentle night breeze. The entire area feels like something out of a dream, with small round tables set up for intimate dinners, covered in white cloths and surrounded by soft cushions.

There’s a path lined with candles, leading to the center of the space where a larger table sits under a canopy of twinkling fairy lights. The gentle hum of crickets fills the air, and the scent of fresh flowers drifts toward you. Everything is perfectly set up, romantic and magical, as if the universe itself conspired to create this moment.

Jungkook looks around, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Looks like we found the perfect spot,” he says softly.

You gaze at the beautiful, candlelit setup, feeling a mixture of awe and disbelief. Despite the chaotic journey, you’ve somehow stumbled upon a scene that’s romantic and breathtaking, as if it was waiting just for the two of you.

Jungkook finds a first aid box tucked away in the corner of the dining area, as if the hosts had planned for emergencies. Kneeling beside you, he gently wraps a bandage around your swollen ankle. His fingers are careful, but his touch is firm, bringing some relief. You sigh softly, grateful for the care.

Afterward, you both sit at the table, sharing a peaceful dinner under the romantic glow of the lanterns and candles. The meal is comforting, and for a moment, it helps you forget the throbbing pain in your ankle and the strange unease creeping through your body.

Just as you finish the last bite, a loud thunderclap breaks the silence, startling both of you. You exchange a look, realizing that the weather is quickly turning worse. Jungkook glances up at the sky, frowning as dark clouds gather overhead.

“We should leave,” he says, standing up quickly. “The weather’s getting bad.”

You nod, still feeling a bit on edge. Jungkook rushes toward the car provided by the company hosting the adventure, intending to get you out of there as quickly as possible. As he reaches for the car door, a landline phone near the entrance starts ringing loudly. He hesitates for a moment before answering it.

“Hello?” Jungkook speaks into the receiver, his brow furrowing as he listens. On the other side, Taehyung’s voice is panicked. “Jungkook, is Yn with you?”

“Yeah, she’s here with me,” Jungkook replies, glancing over his shoulder to where you’re still sitting by the table.

“There’s been a change in plans,” Taehyung says hurriedly. “The weather’s gotten so bad that the company is calling all couples back to the hotel, but they couldn’t find your trace. Listen, you need to stay where you are—there’s been a landslide, and the only road back to the hotel has been wiped out.”

Jungkook’s heart sinks. “A landslide?” he repeats, his voice low. He asks Taehyung for more details, but before he can get answers, another loud thunderclap echoes through the sky, and the phone line cuts off. The dial tone rings in his ears, and his stomach twists with worry.

He turns around to find you already panicking. The moment the phone call ends, you rush toward the car, fumbling with the keys, desperate to start the engine. “Yn, wait,” Jungkook says, grabbing your arm softly but firmly. “The road’s been wiped out. We can’t leave right now.”

You’re not listening, your breathing coming in shallow, rapid gasps as you scramble to start the car. “WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!” you shout, your voice trembling with fear. Your body shakes, and your eyes are wild with panic. “W-We can’t s-stay h-here!”

Jungkook holds you, his hands now firmer on your arms as he realizes that something is terribly wrong. “Yn, listen to me—calm down!” But it’s no use; you’re slipping into a full-blown panic, your mind clouded by fear.

Suddenly, Jungkook notices something else—your skin is burning up. He presses the back of his hand to your forehead and curses under his breath. “You’re burning with a fever,” he mutters, alarmed. “And you’ve been in these damp clothes all this time.”

Your breathing grows more erratic, and despite his attempts to calm you down, you seem lost in your panic. Jungkook shakes you gently, his voice more urgent now. “Yn, come on, snap out of it!”

But your eyes roll back, and before he can react, you slump into his arms, unconscious. The weight of your body falls against him, and Jungkook’s heart races as fear grips him.

“Y-Yn?” he calls, his voice shaky. He lifts you into his arms, holding you close as the storm rages, his mind racing for a way to help you.

Jungkook sits beside you, his hands trembling slightly as he dips a cloth into the bowl of cool water and places it gently on your forehead. Despite his best efforts, your fever isn’t coming down, and every time you mutter or shiver in your sleep, his panic only worsens. Your breathing is shallow, and your body is shaking violently from both the fever and the cold, damp clothes still clinging to your skin.

He runs his hand through his hair, trying to think, but his mind is racing. "What do I do?" he mutters to himself, feeling helpless. He takes a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down, and rushes over to the first aid box once more. As he rummages through its contents, he finds a small packet of fever medicine.

Jungkook hesitates, staring at the medicine in his hand. You're unconscious, and he knows that giving you the pill like this could be dangerous. What if you choke? He bites his lip, unsure of what to do, but the sight of you lying there, trembling and pale, forces him to make a decision.

After quickly dissolving the medicine in a small cup of water, he lifts your head gently, trying to get you to drink. “Come on, Yn, just a little bit…” he whispers, but you don't respond. He tries again, but the liquid just dribbles down the side of your mouth.

Desperate, Jungkook makes a decision he wouldn’t have considered in any other circumstance. With a deep breath, he gulps the medicine-laced water into his own mouth, then leans down, pressing his lips to yours. Carefully, he lets the liquid flow from his mouth into yours, hoping it works. He feels your throat constrict slightly as you swallow the medicine, and he pulls back, relief flooding through him.

Jungkook wipes the water from your lips with the back of his hand and sighs in frustration, feeling guilty for what he just did but knowing it was the only way to help you. He grabs the wet cloth again and presses it to your forehead, hoping the medicine will take effect soon.

But then the cold wind howls outside, and he notices how much you’re still shivering. Your clothes are soaked through, clinging to your skin and worsening your fever. He knows he doesn’t have many options left, and the last thing he wants is for you to get even sicker.

His hands falter as he contemplates his next move. "I have to," he mutters to himself. As much as he hates the thought, he can’t leave you in those wet clothes any longer.

Jungkook closes his eyes for a moment, steeling himself. With trembling hands, he carefully helps you out of your damp clothes, replacing them with a warm blanket from the emergency supplies. His cheeks flush with embarrassment, but there’s no other choice. After wrapping you tightly in the blanket, he holds you close to his chest, using his body heat to keep you warm.

As you settle against him, still unconscious but no longer shivering as badly, Jungkook rests his chin atop your head, praying the fever will break soon. All he can do now is wait and hope.

Chapter 03- "Spoiler"

Jungkook’s voice stops her. "Yn," he calls out, his tone trembling slightly. "I love you."

Her breath catches in her throat as she turns around to face him. Jungkook’s face is serious, yet vulnerable. "I know it’s early, and we haven’t known each other that long, but... I can’t help it. I’ve fallen deeply in love with you. I don’t expect you to say anything back. I just... I needed you to know."

Yn opens her mouth to respond, but Jungkook raises a hand to stop her. "You don’t have to say anything now. I know this might be overwhelming, and the last thing I want is to pressure you."

He fumbles around, searching for something. After a moment, he finds a tissue and a pen. Quickly, he scribbles something down and hands it to her. "Here’s my number. If you ever feel the way I do, just call me, or even text me. But if you don’t... then don’t worry about it. I’ll understand."
